Apple Butter Waffles Recipe with Brown Sugar Cinnamon Whipping Cream
When I can use my homemade canned ingredients in my baking or cooking, it is a stellar day. I work hard to make my homemade slow-cooked apple butter for water bath canning so when I get to use it on more than spreading it on biscuits, I am happy.
Not only have I now made these apple butter waffles for breakfast, but I have used my apple butter for dinners as well. You should check out my Jack Daniels Apple Butter Pork Medallions or my Cheddar Bacon Chicken Breasts with Apple Butter Sauce for your next dinner. If you don’t have time to make apple butter, then the store-bought version works just as well.
This is a simple and fast recipe to make. You can make the batter ahead of time if you want these for breakfast. Or you can have breakfast for dinner like we love to do. How about topping these waffles with vanilla ice cream and having a unique dessert? Yup, my apple butter waffles are versatile for any occasion or meal of the day.
Cost to make this recipe.
With all the ingredients purchased to make this recipe, I calculated it at about $5.76 for about six large Belgium style waffles or $0.96 per waffle.
There are a couple of ingredient prices I can reduce as a homesteader. First off the apple butter is typically made fresh, homemade, and with apple grown in our yard. That reduces our apple butter to literal pennies. Secondly, we raise our chicken eggs which can reduce the price sometimes as well.
