Baked Praline French Toast Casserole Recipe
Click here to Jump to Recipe
This overnight baked praline French toast is one of my favorite breakfast casserole dishes. I have made quite a few in the past. Strawberry Shortcake or Blueberry French Toast casseroles are another two fantastic versions as well.
You can make this entire recipe for the night before. First, set up the French toast to soak in a casserole dish, then spread the thick pecan paste on top. Make sure you cover the casserole and set it up in the refrigerator overnight. After I baked it in the morning, it is the most perfect sweet start to your day.
Or make this up for dinner. Yup, I love breakfast for dinner and you can make this up in the morning and leave it in the refrigerator until evening.

Our cost for this recipe.
The significant majority of the cost for this breakfast recipe comes from pecan nuts. The estimated total cost is about $11.94 or $1.32 per serving slice. Typically, a pound of pecans can cost about $10.00 per pound. And a cup of chopped nuts can be roughly $4 unless you grow them yourself.
We have three large mature pecan trees in our backyard and harvest large amounts of pecans every other year. We preserve them by freezing the shelled nuts to save them for great recipes like this praline French toast.
I also make my vanilla extract, raise chicken eggs, and sometimes make my French Bread but only on rare occasions.
