Bavarian Stew Recipe
My Bavarian stew is a fantastic recipe for the entire family. For one, it is a one-pot meal. There is no need to dirty several pots and pans and utensils. If you have a deep nonstick skillet, then you too can make this in only one pot.
Secondly, it is a complete meal. It contains a protein in the way of smoked sausage, a starch of red potatoes, and a veggie of carrots. You can interchange the starch and vegetable if you wish. Chopped Brussel sprouts work great in place of the carrots and white potatoes in place of the red ones.
Finally, my Bavarian stew is delicious. The smoked sausage gives a smokey meat texture and flavor. All the ingredients cooked in a creamy paprika sauce. The sauce thickens up, and a wonderful stew is formed for a perfect winter meal.
