Homemade Seasonings Mixes and Blends Recipes
My homemade seasonings post is your one-stop spot for all the classic spice blends and mixes. This post has it all from blends used in making desserts to savory ones. These recipes are very easy to double or triple, so you can make and store large quantities. This helps to make large amounts so you never really run out.
Placed in an airtight container is the best method to store your premade homemade seasonings. Or better yet, do what I do. Put the mixes in a glass mason jar and use a vacuum sealing device to vacuum seal the air out of the jars. I like to use a FoodSaver Vacuum Sealer Handheld Sealing System along with FoodSaver Vacuum Sealer Wide-Mouth and Regular Mouth Jar Kit which is necessary to do the job properly.
You will find many of my recipes throughout this website will use much of my seasonings. I love making my blends because I don’t have to go to the store when I need it for recipes. Typically I have the stock seasonings on hand, like garlic powder or onion powder, to make my specific blends. When I find or need different types, I will surely update this article and add more recipes.
The cost of these recipes.
There is no good way to count up the cost of this post. It included several different spice recipes where some consist of a few ingredients while others have quite a few. Spices can be expensive, so to save a little bit of money, you can grow your garlic, onions, ginger, paprika, hot peppers, parsley, cumin, oregano, sage, thyme, etc. Dehydrate or dry out the herbs, crush, and store to make these different seasoning mixtures.
