Grilled Chicken with Coffee Cream Soda Barbecue Sauce
I know what you might think, “Coffee cream soda barbecue sauce on my grilled chicken?” This combination might seem strange, but I assure you, my grilled chicken with a
The chicken breast is pounded and seasoned, then simply grilled. I love the grill line marks on a breast of chicken, don’t you? Then a simple couple of ingredients barbecue sauce is whipped together with cream soda, prepared barbecue sauce, and my coffee extract. For a lower sugar dinner, you can substitute for diet cream soda. The coffee and vanilla flavored cream soda mix wonderfully into the barbecue sauce.
I love this recipe for a couple of reasons. First, it tastes amazing and is now a family favorite. Second, it uses two of my homemade condiments; coffee extract and barbecue sauce. But if you don’t want to spend the extra time making sauces, then the store-bought variety works great too. I would only recommend that you get plain original barbecue sauce and nothing with extra spices and flavorings. It will throw off the taste.
I have to say that when I make these adventurous recipes for the family; I don’t tell them exactly what is in it. When they ask, I say, “good food.” I hate when they already have a mindset to hate a weird combination of food before even trying it. And that goes for you, too. Don’t hate it until you tried it.
Cost to make this recipe.
As main entrees go, this one is relatively cheap because it has a few ingredients to cook. I calculated the entire entrée, including sauce, to cost around $5.07 or $1.27 per serving.
