Gingerbread Pound Cake Recipe
This recipe, Gingerbread Pound Cake, is so tasty and moist, I couldn’t keep it to myself. I ended up making this dessert three times for the 2015 Christmas season. One was for my daughter’s school holiday party, one for my husband’s office party, and one for the family to enjoy. Needless to say, they were all a screaming success and a hit with everyone, even with those that don’t like gingerbread.
I tailored this recipe, which I found on The View from Great Island food blog. The original recipe was half my and served with cream cheese frosting. You can undoubtedly add frosting, but I didn’t think it necessary as it was plenty flavorful and sweet. Another great topping to think about would be a tart cranberry glaze.
Cost to make this recipe.
I calculated this recipe to cost just under $8.00 for the entire cake or about $0.49 per serving size. This recipe makes the list of my desserts under $0.50 per serving size.
