Cinnamon Roll Pound Cake Recipe
I was trying to do my best with combining a cinnamon roll and my family favorite pound cake recipe together, and I think I did it perfectly. You have the dense buttery taste of the classic vanilla pound cake with the cinnamon swirl. Everything that you find in a typical cinnamon roll.
I made this cake for my husband’s coworkers birthday. My husband brought it to him when he was on call. Unfortunately, the birthday boy wasn’t home so he had to drop it off in the office while he finished up some work. Can you believe that the people in the office started to shear slices of cake off one by one for themselves. I was shocked to hear that by the time the birthday boy got his cake, it was about half gone. Luckily he didn’t mind and absolutely loved the cake and apparently so did everyone in the office.
I have a variety of other pound cake recipes that are definitely just as good. You should also give them a try.

Icing
- 2 cups powdered sugar, …[$0.68]
- 2 tbsp. milk, …[$0.02]
Instructions
- Cream white sugar and 2 sticks butter together until smooth. Add in 6 eggs then blend remaining cake ingredients until smooth. Set aside.
- Preheat oven to 350 °F and grease angel food or Bundt pan.
- Combine all cinnamon filling ingredients including melted butter in a separate bowl.
- In greased pan layer the cake like so; pour ⅓ of cake batter, ½ of the cinnamon filling, ⅓ of cake batter, remaining cinnamon filling, and remaining of the cake batter.
- Bake for 60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Icing
- Make icing by combining all icing ingredients together. I like a thicker icing so add the appropriate amounts of sugar or milk to reach your consistency.
- Remove cake from oven and let cool down so it is warm to the touch before pouring on the icing.
