Homemade Strawberry Liqueur Recipe Made with Vodka
This is a great way to use that one cup of strawberries that you don’t know what else to do with. I like using vodka that is about 80 proof and above. The higher the proof the more it will extract flavor from your fruit. It is also important to use a mid-grade vodka, nothing in a plastic bottle. This will make the finished product taste the best.

Make sure you shake your jars of vodka and cut up strawberries at least once a day. If the jars leak too much with shaking then use a butter knife to mix up the fruit and bottom of the jar. The color of the strawberries will start to be drawn out and into the vodka as the days go by. The cut strawberries will also float to the top of the vodka by day 2 or 3. It is normal so don’t worry.

Recipes to Make with your Strawberry Liqueur:
Strawberry Cooler
1/4 cup strawberry liqueur
1 can Sprite
Splash of grenadine
Combine all in a large glass and enjoy with ice.
Strawberry Lemonade
8 oz. lemonade (I use Country Time)
2 oz. strawberry liqueur
Splash of grenadine
Combine all and pour over ice and enjoy.
Strawberry Cake Sangria
2-3 parts white wine
1 part strawberry liqueur
1 part cake flavored vodka
sliced fresh strawberries
Combine all and let strawberries sit in wine and liqueur for at least 10 minutes. For more of a Sangria flavor, let strawberries sit for a longer period of time. Serve over ice.
Strawberry Sunrise
2 oz. Strawberry liqueur
1 oz. pineapple juice
1 oz. orange juice
3 oz. Sprite
Combine all ingredients and serve over ice.
Strawberry Peach Cocktail
4 oz. Moscato wine
1 oz. peach schnapps
1 oz. strawberry liqueur
3 oz. Sprite
Combine all ingredients and serve chilled.
Banana Split Martini
2 oz. caramel flavored vodka
1 oz. banana liqueur
1/2 oz. strawberry liqueur
1 oz. heavy cream
Add all ingredients with ice and shake really well. Strain and pour into martini glasses.
Strawberry Shortcake Martini
2 oz. cake flavored vodka
3 oz. strawberry liqueur
Combine all ingredients and shake with ice well. Strain and pour into martini glasses.
Strawberry Lemon Drop Martini
2 oz. strawberry liqueur
2 oz. lemon juice
Combine all ingredients and shake with ice well. Strain and pour into martini glasses.

Strawberry Liqueur
Ingredients
- 2 cups vodka 80 proof or above, …[$4.64]
- 1 cup strawberries, chopped small…[$2.00]
- 1 cup water, …[$0]
- 1 cup white granulated sugar, …[$0.23]
Instructions
- In a large mason jar combine strawberries and vodka together. Mix and let sit 30 days. Stir jar around once a day.
- Strain infused vodka into a bottle that your liqueur will be stored in after 30 days.
- Over medium heat bring water to a simmer and add sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Let simple syrup cool and then pour into strawberry liqueur.
- Store in the refrigerator and enjoy.
