Sticky Date Pudding Cakes Recipe
Sticky date pudding cakes are another one of my favorite individual desserts. They are the family’s favorite individual desserts. As someone who tries to eat and cook healthier, small individual desserts are great. They don’t contain high amounts of calories, and they don’t cause wasted ingredients and leftovers. But if you don’t have individual ramekins to bake in, then you can place all the ingredients in an 8×8 baking dish. You can also double the recipe for more servings.
This recipe post serves four individual cakes. You can easily double the recipe and bake it in an 8×8 casserole dish. If you only want one serving, you can also divide the entire recipe by four, as well. I love that about these Ramekins cakes because it is hard to make many desserts for just one person.
These cakes are called self-saucing cakes, which means when they bake, a sweet sticky sauce forms on the bottom of the ramekin. For this to happen, it is important to pour the sauce on top of the batter and not mix it in.
Cost to make this recipe.
Just like my gingerbread pudding cakes, these sticky pudding cakes are quite inexpensive for $0.48 per serving size or under $2.00 that serves a family of four.
There are no good ingredients that I make at the homestead, which will reduce the cost further. The dates are the most expensive ingredient in this recipe. If you grow them, then your cost can reduce by almost a dollar.
