Cut the majority of the fat from the back and throw away. Cut the remaining bacon into small bits and fry in a pan until cooked through and crispy. Set aside and drain on a towel to save for later.
Beat together the remaining ingredients for frosting until smooth. If the frosting is too thick, just add a light splash of milk. Set frosting aside for later.
Pound Cake Waffles
Cream together softened butter and white sugar. Add in vanilla and eggs one by one until everything is incorporated. Finally blend in baking powder and flour.
Heat up your waffle iron on a medium heat and grease top and bottom. Pour batter into waffle iron. Spread the batter on bottom and don't over stuff because the cake will rise.
Cook each waffle for about 5-8 minutes. WARNING!!! Every waffle iron is different and temperatures are hard to judge. Test and judge how long you need to cook with the first waffle and go from there. Look in the post above for more tips and tricks.
Set each cooked waffle on a wire rack and let cool. Layer each cake waffle with frosting in between each layer and then frost the outside. Sprinkle cooked bacon on top and enjoy.
