Anything praline is divine so how about adding it to a breakfast dish. This overnight baked praline French toast is the best sweet and nutty breakfast dish for young and old alike.
Chop up the entire loaf of bread and place in a greased 8 x 8 casserole dish.
Whip together eggs, milk, cream, 1 cup brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Pour mixture in casserole dish and over chopped bread. Cover and put casserole in the refrigerator.
In a medium bowl, blend together softened butter with remaining 1 cup brown sugar and pecans to make praline mixture. Mixture should be a thick paste consistency.
Take casserole out of refrigerator and spread praline mixture over the top of the soaked french bread casserole. Place back in the refrigerator overnight.
In the morning, bake casserole uncovered at 350 °F for 50-60 minutes. Take out and let sit for 10 minutes before cutting into. Serve with syrup and enjoy.
