Broccoli Salad Recipe
My broccoli salad is a yummy side dish and a great cold raw salad that goes great with about any main entrée. I like to make this side dish for summer barbecue picnics, normal dinners, and for a side at Christmas or Thanksgiving. It is easy to make since there is no cooking involved which can be so helpful when you are baking three other casseroles and a huge turkey or ham. Even though there is mayo in the dressing, it is low calorie and low fat. Being raw broccoli, cranberries, and raisins make it a lighter and healthier side dish.
I first had this salad at a family Thanksgiving gathering in Georgia. My sister in law made it, and I just fell in love with it. I begged her to give me the recipe because it is that good. The creamy mayo and apple cider vinegar give this dressing a sweet and tangy taste which is unique and lovely. As I said, I make it all the time, and so should you.
