Creamy Bacon and Pea Pasta Recipe
My creamy bacon and pea pasta is an easy and delicious pasta dinner meal, great for the entire family. This entrée or even a side dish has a light and creamy mozzarella and parmesan cheese sauce that covers tender rotini pasta, tasty green peas, and orange carrots, and don’t forget the salty bacon.
This pasta is virtually meatless. It does have bacon pieces, so there is pork but not a whole lot. We eat a lot of meat in this family, so a dinner night with little meat is a great change of pace. But don’t fear, adding a couple cooked cut up chicken breast would also do this dinner justice.
My creamy bacon and pea pasta are also splendid because you can slip in two types of colorful veggies. That is always a great thing for cooking for the kiddos.
Cost to make this recipe.
The bacon and two types of cheeses make up the price portion of this side dish recipe. I calculated the cost to total around $7.51 for the entire recipe or about $1.25 per serving. Being able to make this as a side dish let me put out six servings from this recipe. If you make this as a main course, then you can get about four servings from it costing around $1.88 per serving.
