Danish Apple Pudding
Do you keep the ends of your bread to dry out? I do. No one seems to like to eat the bread loaf ends in my house. And of course, I hate to throw them away and waste perfectly good food. So, I lay them out on the countertop and let them air dry. After running the dried bread slices through a food processor, I have perfectly good breadcrumbs. There is no need for me to buy any from the store, just make this Danish apple pudding.
These breadcrumbs are great for frying chicken breasts or pork chops. And now also for a wonderful dessert to accompany your dinner. This Danish apple pudding is much like the typical bread puddings, but instead of fat chunks of bread soaked in a flavored egg mixture, it is breadcrumbs. There is no need for bread soaking. The breadcrumbs are such cheap ingredients; it makes plenty of dessert, that can feed up to 8 servings.

I can reduce the cost of this dessert by about half of the original cost that is roughly $6.06. First of all, I dry and save all my leftover bread ends and make breadcrumbs. That costs me no money at all. We also grow our apples from the backyard. So our homemade applesauce and apple pie filling are relatively pennies compared to the store-bought variety.
