Leek and Sweet Applesauce Meatloaf Recipe
A dull, old meatloaf on Thursday nights could be boring. Nothing for the family to get excited about until you go ahead and try my leek and applesauce meatloaf.
Now, don’t be scared of what you just read. Yes, applesauce in the meatloaf. Trust me, it is delicious, and the applesauce, along with the bread stuffing, leaves the meatloaf incredibly soft and moist.
I can safely say this meatloaf is excellent for eaters of all ages. It has been made for my babies when they started to eat solid foods, and my mother made it for my grandmother, who had terrible dental issues and had a hard time eating hard foods.
Cost to make this recipe.
I calculated the recipe to cost roughly $13.68 or $3.42 per serving size. It doesn’t include any side dishes, so that will be extra cost unless you use homegrown veggies and starches like I love to do.
