Marmalade Mustard Pork Chop Recipe
My marmalade mustard pork chops are a unique way to change up pork chop night for dinner. The orange and citrus come out along with the strong wholegrain mustard that makes almost a sweet honey mustard taste.
The original recipe called for orange marmalade which works very well but at one particular night, I didn’t have it in my pantry. I did have my favorite carrot pineapple orange marmalade. Using this marmalade was exceptionally good, and I would use it again in a heartbeat. I love cooking with my home-canned jams and marmalades. They are so much more than just a smear on a biscuit or toast, you know.
I also used my homemade wholegrain mustard.
Cost to make this recipe.
As for main entrée dishes go, this one is both tasty, unique, and inexpensive. If you can purchase lean pork chops on sale, then you will have yourself a great dinner for the family. I like to find the manager sale items that are just about to hit their sale date. The meat is perfectly good, it just needs to be thrown in the freezer as soon as you get home.
I have calculated this main entrée to be about $5.65 for four servings or about $1.41 per person. This doesn’t include a couple of side dishes that will complete this meal. I like to add homegrown veggies or canned goods to keep the price low and healthy.
