Onion Potato Casserole Recipe
My onion potato casserole is one of my family’s favorite holiday staple casserole, along with many others. It is similar to the classic green bean casserole, which is made with canned green beans, cream of mushroom condensed soup, milk, and French’s Original Crispy Fried Onions. Both are delicious and great comfort foods. I love them more as leftovers.
Holiday meals are never missed without this easy to whip up casserole side dish. Sometimes I bake up a small casserole dish for a non-holiday weekday family dinner. It goes great alongside a slice of beef or grilled chicken breast.
Cost to make this recipe.
I have calculated this side dish casserole to cost around $10.21 or $1.28 per serving size. Most of the ingredient cost comes from the dairy portions of the recipe. As homesteaders, we don’t make dairy products but we do grow the onions, potatoes, and herbs. Sometimes we can reduce our price to $8.46 or $1.06 per serving size.
