Caramelized Pineapples Recipe over Pork Chops
I came up with this entrée recipe on a whim. Pork chops were laid out to thaw in the fridge that morning. But I had no idea what to do with them. I didn’t want to fry or bread them. And I didn’t have time to throw them in the slow cooker since they were still thawing. Also, I had a limited amount of ingredients to choose from. It was one of those weeks where I needed to go grocery shopping but I really wanted to use up some of those other ingredients in the pantry before going.
My seasoning cabinet is never empty so I seasoned the chops with my favorite ingredients and topped them with a can of pineapples I found in the other cabinet. I wanted to give the pineapple a bit of a punch so I browned some brown sugar on top and Viola! A terrific family favorite dinner entrée.
