Strawberry yogurt baked French toast is another fantastic breakfast entrée that makes the great list of overnight baked French toast. Typically my baked French toasts are made with milk, but this one is made with yogurt, strawberry yogurt. I love the regular yogurt type, but Greek yogurt would make a great addition as well and give a large boost of protein.
The fruit variety can also be changed if you desired. You can substitute the strawberries with fruit like blueberries or peaches. And in turn, combine it with the corresponding flavored yogurt.
The whole family loves this breakfast recipe. It can reheat well for leftovers which can make awonderful and filling meal before school. Fruit syrups that correspond with the fruit made in this baked French toast go perfectly with this recipe. But you can use the normal maple syrup if you like.
Cost to make this recipe.
This breakfast casserole dish cost roughly $7.42 or about $0.82 per serving slice. The cost could be reduced if you grow our berries, raise your eggs, and possibly make your French loaf bread and maybe even yogurt. I haven’t made my yogurt yet, but that is the next big homesteading skill on the books. Right now I can make this recipe for about $4.19 or $0.47 per serving slice.
