Sweet Chili Chicken Burgers with Sweet Pineapple Sriracha Coleslaw Recipe
Sometimes it is important to break away from the normal beef patty burger and try something new. Ground chicken is a great alternative to the beef. This chicken patty recipe is easy to make and takes minimal ingredients of ground chicken, sweet chili sauce, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
The ground chicken is moist; there is no need for eggs. Adding eggs will make the patties too wet. With wet meat, you will not be able to mold into burger shapes with your hands. The sweet chili sauce gives enough moisture as well.
Putting an amazing coleslaw on this chicken patty burger makes this meal so unique it will make you come back for more every time. The coleslaw is also very easy to make, like just about every coleslaw. I put my ultimate favorite pineapple jam and Sriracha sauce in this mayo mixture to make the greatest sweet and spicy coleslaw ever. You can also add some canned pineapples with a few tablespoonful’s of white sugar if you don’t have any homemade canned pineapple jam.
Cost to make this recipe.
I have calculated the total price to make this meal about $10.18 or $2.55 per sandwich. Buttery crescent rolls are one of my favorites for this burger but cost more. Go for soft sandwich bread or burger bun to use a cheaper version. Growing the carrots, cabbage, and even making the onion powder can save a little money. This would bring back the price to about $9.43 or $2.36 per sandwich. It isn’t much, but it is something.
