Grease an angel food cake pan or Bundt pan and set aside. Don't preheat the oven.
Cream softened butter and sugar together. Add one egg in at time while blending mixture together. Then add in vanilla and heavy cream. Finally add in the all purpose flour and mix until cake mixture is smooth and creamy.
Pour cake mix in the greased cake pan and put into a cold oven.
Set oven to 350 °F and bake on middle rack for 90 minutes.
Take out of oven and let cake cool completely on wire rack before cutting into and enjoying.
