Refried Beans
The night before, soak beans overnight in a large pot of water.
Rinse beans and place in slow cooker. Add water, garlic, onion, cumin, and pepper. Cook on high for 5 hours.
Using an immersion blender, puree beans until smooth. Cook for another 3 hours.
If beans are too dense, add ½ cup water when needed.
Beef
Place beef in slow cooker and top with rest of ingredients; chilies, seasonings, onion, and vinegar.
Cook on low for 6 hours.
Shred beef and mix ingredients together if needed. Cook on low for another 2 hours.
Make tortillas and top with beans, beef, cheese and any favorite fixings.
